Belts: width and loop length.
Width runs across the belt. Length follows the entire loop, not the exposed sanding surface. Backing, joint, abrasive and operating requirements still need to suit the machine and the job.
Blades: more than a length.
Bandsaw blade length follows the full loop. Check the documented width range and thickness constraints separately. We leave missing constraints unknown and do not infer them from a model name.
Nominal is not always exact.
One inch is exactly 25.4 mm. A manufacturer’s nominal inch label may differ from a metric catalogue label. Preserve the documented notation and confirm the intended product rather than assuming a rounded conversion is equivalent.
For physical inspection, removal or adjustment, follow the instructions for your exact machine. This guide explains identification and dimensions; it is not an operating procedure.
